The placing of the floor must be the last activity in the building after the carpenters and plumbers have left.

We recommend the placing of the tiles with cement glue. The glue must be thick enough (10 mm) to level the base and assure a good adherence. Follow the material's instructions. The tiles must be cleaned with a clean wet sponge as they are laid to prevent staining by drying cement. When using a rubber hammer, cover it with a cloth.

The joints must be minimal (2 mm). They will be filled with liquid cement, white for light colors, dark for darker colors After the joints are filled, wait no longer then 30 minutes to clean the floor with a wet sponge to make sure no cement stays on top as no acid products may be used to clean the floor afterwards.

After the joints are dry the floor is cleaned with neutral soaps and disks type scotch-brite for a smooth floor. Make sure the floor is completely dry before initiating the treatment.

TREATMENT

The floor treatment should be done with epoxy products that impregnate the tiles and do not close the pours.

Recommended product: Filabeton - sealer for concrete floors - penetrates the pores of the concrete, creating a hard glossy, resistant film which seals the floor and guards against dusting.

Waxing is an option after the impregnation. When using wax prefer anti slippery natural bee wax. Make some tests on loose tiles to verify the result.

MAINTENANCE

After sealed the floor is ready to be regularly cleaned with water and neutral soaps.
